T25 2.0 Westfalia (Californian Import)
1980 T25 2.0 inj Westfalia Camper California Import This is my Type 25 Camper that I imported from California last year. I found it at the Pomona swap meet and ended up buying it because although it is obviously ‘used’ it is an extremely honest van that has never been messed about with. This van is structurally solid as has spent its life in California. It is MOT’d until end July 09 and taxed end Dec 08. It has surface rust specs around the windows but there are no holes. There is a scrape on the o/s where the sliding door meets the rear ¼ panel, and a small dent above the n/s/f indicator. (See photos) Sweet 2.0 CV fuel injection engine, with full Californian emission control which is all working and in good order. All lighting etc changed and re-wired to be completely UK spec. Camping wise it has the usual Westfalia interior, features include; * 2x front captain seats, double bed above and below * Working tap/pump and water gauge. * 240v hook up (all the US 110v wiring was removed and 240v UK style electrics installed in place with circuit breaker protection.) * Working 12v/Gas/240v fridge (includes a step down 240-110v transformer so the fridge can be used on 240v, all built in and very professional looking) * On board LPG tank- very useful. I have purchased the adaptor so that this can be filled up at any petrol station that sells LPG. It is much cheaper than bottled gas, burns fantastic and lasts a long time. Bad Points; * This van is 28 years old and very original so here are some things that will need attention; * Dent/Scrape on o/s sliding door/ ¼ panel, * Canvas roof has some tears that have been repaired but some new ones will need repairing again. * Front seat covers are very worn and foam bolsters worn too, could do with some new front seats. * Seat base for rear seat has a torn cover. I have been using this van throughout the summer/show season and is ready to use and practical.
